February 17, 2007 was the date when many people attended the Ground breaking ceremonies of the Proposed Parish of Mary Mediatrix of All Grace or the Maria, Ina, Tagapamagitan ng Lahat ng Biyaya. It was indeed a grace of God to build a chuch – a parish which will become the center of religious activities of the people who belong to seven (7) barangays – Antipolo del Norte, Antipolo del Sur, Anilao, Anilao Labac, Pag-olingin East, Pag-olingin West and Pinagkawitan.
It was January 6, 2007, at a regular meeting of the officers when the Priest In Charge, Rev. Fr. Rodem Ramos, with his belief that construction of the church must materialize, announced the date of the groundbreaking. The date is set – February 17, 2007 Saturday, 8:00 a.m. at the site in Brgy. Antipolo del Norte, Lipa City. Since then, Fr. Rodem together with the proposed parish pastoral council officers and barangay/chapel liturgical coordinators laid out plans to make this event a meaningful and successful one. Committees were formed and were delegated assignments.
The Site and the Church Design
The lot where the parish shall be erected was donated by Mr. Danilo L. Dolor, a known businessman, philanthropist and devotee. He initially donated 3,000 square-meter- lot which was increased to 5,000 square meters. When the commissioned priest architect in the person of Fr. Alex Bautista showed the design proposal of the new church to Fr. Rodem, the latter was ecstatic. He was more dedicated and enthusiastic to erect the beautiful church as conceptualized and drawn by Fr. Bautista. But as the design of the church was made and other factors were taken into consideration like the presence of the river at the eastern part which demanded to move the church westward, it required a larger lot dimension. And so by the will and grace of God and Mama Mary’s own will to build a church in honor of Her, the size of the lot was further increased to 7,156 square meters which seemed not possible at the beginning. But Mr. Dolor seeing the brilliant design and the need to materialize the plan, agreed on augmenting the size of the lot.
