Perspective and Design
The Spanish-Mediterranean architectural design of the Proposed Parish Church was executed by Rev. Fr. Alex O. Bautista, a priest-architect from the Diocese of Tarlac, Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church. He also teaches Architecture and Liturgical Arts at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila. He was commissioned by Fr. Rodem to make the design of church.
The church building of the proposed parish shall be built on a 10,000m2 lot at Antipolo del Norte, Lipa City, donated by the Dolor Family, in loving tribute to its late Matriarch, Doña Soledad Lirio Dolor, on the occasion of her 94th birthday, through the generosity of her son, Mr. Danilo Lirio “Danny” Dolor. It was attained by God’s grace, through the human efforts of Archbishop Arguelles and Rev. Fr. Ernesto “Totit” Mandanas, Jr, parish priest of the Parish of St. Sebastian. They untiringly made several representations with Mr. Dolor soliciting for a portion of their landholdings at Antipolo del Norte. Known for his benevolence to the Catholic Church, Mr. Dolor initially donated 5,000 m2. But with much persistence of the good Archbishop and Fr. Totit, and incessant prayers of the faithful in the barangays which will constitute the proposed parish, the donation was increased to 10,000m2. God bless the souls of this selfless family.
