The first structure blessed was the Monument of the Cross led by the good Cardinal. This Cross was constructed through the financial assistance of the Parish of San Sebastian and the initiative of its Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ernesto I. Mandanas Jr. Fr. Mandanas then read the inscriptions on the markers at the bottom of the Cross.
Archbishop Arguelles led the prayer of blessing of the Stations of the Cross. Afterwhich, the guest priests sprinkled Holy Water on the structures.
The Image of the Mary Mediatrix of All Grace was unveiled by Spouses Dr. Emilio Francisco Berberabe Jr. and Dra. Ma. Jolet Domingo Berberabe. Cardinal Rosales led the prayer of blessing and the sprinkling of Holy Water. Fr. Rodem read the inscriptions on the markers below the image of the Blessed Mother.
After the blessing, a Rosary Balloon was released by Ambassador de Villa, Mayor Gozos, Mrs. Soledad de Leon and Mr. & Mrs. Berberabe; a symbolic act to show true devotion to the Blessed Mother by Praying the Rosary.
After the blessing, the Holy Mass was concelebrated by the Cardinal Rosales, Archbishop Arguelles together with the priests present. The makeshift chapel was overflowing with people who graced the celebration.
This day was blessed with a nice weather – a miracle that while the surrounding places experienced heavy rains, the site did not experience a single drop of rain while the blessing outside took place. The rain only came before the final blessing of the Holy Mass – a sign that the occasion is truly blessed by God and the Blessed Mother.
